Best terminal location (proposed)

The Amtrak station district in downtown Fayetteville. Downtown Fayetteville's Amtrak station already serves one of North Carolina's busiest rail stops, with downtown redevelopment creating transit-oriented opportunities. The terminal would serve Fort Liberty's military community — the region's dominant travel generator — and the Sandhills corridor toward Cary.
