Best terminal location (proposed)
the Torrance Transit Center district on the Crenshaw corridor. Torrance built a major regional transit center on Crenshaw Boulevard, and Metro's C Line extension is planned to reach it, which would plug a maglev terminal straight into the LA rail network. The surrounding South Bay industrial belt offers large parcels that rarely exist elsewhere in LA County. It serves the 800,000-plus residents of the South Bay beach cities and harbor area.
Before / after

Aerial mock-up (illustrative, not an engineering rendering). Left: the proposed site today. Right: with the maglev terminal.
- Gardena — dense South Bay city on the corridor with strong bus connections.
- Hawthorne — aerospace job center on the planned Metro C Line extension.
- Lawndale — small residential city directly on the alignment.
