Best terminal location (proposed)
the Hayward BART station district. Hayward BART is one of the East Bay's busiest stations, with Capitol Corridor and Amtrak service a short hop away and AC Transit feeding it from every direction. The downtown core around the station is already zoned for transit-oriented density. It captures central Alameda County commuters who today have no fast link north or south.
Before / after

Aerial mock-up (illustrative, not an engineering rendering). Left: the proposed site today. Right: with the maglev terminal.
- Union City — BART-served city directly between the two, with a strong East Bay catchment.
- The Alvarado district (Union City) — historic core near the 880 corridor.
- Fremont's Centerville district — old town center at the corridor's south end.
