Best terminal location (proposed)
the Ventura–Downtown/Beach station district (Pacific Surfliner). Ventura's beachfront Amtrak station already serves the Surfliner in the heart of a walkable downtown. The rail corridor along the coast is the only continuous alignment through the city. It captures all of western Ventura County plus coastal tourism demand.

- El Rio — unincorporated community on the Oxnard Plain directly between the two.
